Christmas Eve - Mr. Gift

Well, Mr. Gift was a delightful suprise.  I am so glad he didn’t get away last night!  He did make one final attempt to call for help, but without fingers....

Awww...penguins!  A good start.
😃🤣😄 Fantastic!  A mini s’mores kit!!!!  (Glad TSA didn’t detect the matches.) And a photo of 2 handsome men, Anthony (right) and Aaron (left).  THANK YOU!

Mr. Gift big reveal tomorrow

I nearly opened Mr. Gift today, but he escaped when he overheard I would unwrap him tomorrow.  For being a gift-wrapped package, he can climb some stairs!

Sevilla

When we arrived at Hotel Abanico, we were greeted by Jesus...no really...Jesus works the desk and he was apologetic that our room was not ready (this happened in Madrid, as well)  He stowed our luggage and we headed out to a lovely warm day.  It took only moments to be enchanted by this city with its narrow, twisty street, balconies everywhere, and old world charm.

Here’s Mr. Gift at the entrance to our hotel.

And here he is crashing the creche.

Farewell Madrid

Tomorrow morning we depart Madrid and travel by train to Seville.  We’ll go from cold temperatures to nearly 70 degrees and SUNNY!

Iberostar Las Letras Gran Via hotel has been a wonderful home away from home.  How wonderful?  3 words:  Heated Towel Rack!

And yes, Mr. Gift is going with us!

Adios y buenas noches.

Spanish Hot Chocolate

Spanish hot chocolate is thick.  Imagine drinking warm chocolate pudding.

We scoped out the Atocha train station for tomorrow and near it we found a Christmas market that sells little hot chocolates in souvenir cups.  Nice treat on this cold and gray day.

Mr. Gift enjoyed some, too.

Waking up for the last full day in Madrid

Earlier stsart today.  Workout for us first, but Mr. Gift needed a little extra rest.

Wine-ding down

Yesterday was amazing, but we’ll talk about that when we can legally share...

Today, as a result of yesterday, we had a late start.  But we had a full day of shopping.  We both hate shopping normally, but Spain is fabu.

Thanks to Madrid, shopping, coffee, tapas, wine, tapas, shopping, art, dinner, wine and liquor de hierba and now wine...life is good.

And Mr. Gift joined us in the hotel bar.
